Learn, act, and support. Together, we can raise awareness and address gender-based violence in our communities.
Gender-based violence (GBV) is a significant issue that affects individuals and communities, yet many people remain unaware of its widespread impact. This lack of understanding can perpetuate the problem, as individuals may not recognize the signs of abuse or know how to provide meaningful support. Finding resources and understanding how to help someone in need can feel overwhelming, and there is a critical need to make more men aware, sensitive, and proactive as allies and advocates.
SAFE addresses these challenges by offering events and workshops designed to educate and empower community members. These programs focus on increasing awareness of GBV, teaching participants to recognize signs of abuse, and providing actionable steps to support survivors. By incorporating insights from lived experiences, these workshops foster empathy and understanding while equipping attendees with the tools to make a difference.
SAFE’s community initiatives also aim to engage men and boys in conversations that challenge harmful norms and encourage advocacy for survivors. Through targeted events and outreach, SAFE works to create a culture of support and accountability within communities.
You can play a role in creating a safer, more informed community. Learn more about our events and workshops on this page, or contact SAFE to discuss tailored programs that meet your needs. Support our mission by volunteering your time or making a donation to help survivors and victims in our community. Together, we can take meaningful steps to combat GBV and foster lasting change.
