Talking about abuse can be hard, but it’s one of the most important conversations we can have. Many people don’t recognize the signs of gender-based violence (GBV) or know how to support someone going through it. And too often, the voices of survivors—the people who’ve actually lived it—are left out of the conversation. At SAFE, we believe understanding GBV starts with listening, learning, and connecting.
That’s why we created our Discussion Groups, Outreach Initiatives, and Workshops—to bring people together in a safe, supportive way. These programs are designed to spark real conversations and offer tools to help survivors and community members better understand GBV and its impact.
Our discussion groups provide a safe place for survivors to share their stories, connect with others who’ve been through similar experiences, and feel less alone. Outreach initiatives bring these conversations into the community, raising awareness and helping to break the stigma surrounding GBV. And our workshops go deeper, teaching practical skills like how to recognize abuse and support someone in need.
At SAFE, everything we do is led by survivors, so you know these spaces are built with care and understanding. Whether you’re a survivor looking to connect or someone who wants to learn how to help, we’re here for you.
If you’re ready to join the conversation or just curious to know more, reach out to us. Together, we can make a difference—one story, one connection, one step at a time.
