When it comes to addressing gender-based violence (GBV), we can’t do it without men and boys. Boys grow up watching and learning from the world around them, and we have a chance to guide them toward understanding respect, healthy relationships, and kindness. At the same time, men can be powerful allies and advocates, using their voices and actions to create real change.
At SAFE, we believe everyone has a role to play in building safer, more respectful communities. That’s why our Engaging Men and Boys program is all about bringing them into the conversation. Through workshops and events, we create spaces where men and boys can talk openly, ask questions, and challenge the harmful ideas about masculinity that hold us all back.
These aren’t lectures or one-sided talks—they’re honest, interactive discussions that help boys understand what it means to treat others with respect and empathy. For men, it’s about learning how to show up as allies, supporting survivors and helping to prevent GBV in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
We know it can feel like a big conversation to have, but it’s one worth having. Together, we can break down old stereotypes, encourage healthy masculinity, and show that real strength comes from respect and understanding.
If you want to be part of this important work, we’d love to have you join us. Contact SAFE today to learn more about our Engaging Men and Boys program. Together, we can build a future where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
